The Jeep Grand Cherokee 2011, named "Top Safety Pick" by IIHS is a complete American icon and a symbol of the manufacturer. This new model keeps the distinctive design of Jeep but with some adjustments that redefine the segment to offer a true duality: the more modern off-road capabilities of the brand and a refinement for the asphalt resulting in a unique driving experience. For the 2011 Grand Cherokee was elected the new Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 engine that features an improved of 11% in terms of efficiency, achieving a little over 23 miles per gallon and the capacity of go just over 500 miles with a single tank fuel. Other protective systems that stand out are the numerous air bags, the BeltAlert that alerts the driver in case that do not use the seat belt, blind spot monitoring, secure LATCH, high intensity lights, parking sensor, rear view camera, wipers with rain sensors, remote start, engine immobilizer and tire pressure monitoring system.
The new Grand Cherokee is assembled at the Jefferson plant in Detroit and has a base price of $30,995 for the Laredo 4x2 version, while the Laredo 4x4 model starts at $32,995. Along with these models Jeep will offer the Limited and Overland version that will go on sale in June.
