Cheap Good Car For The City: Kia Rio 2012
KIA RIO 2012. Besides a new look and better performance, the 2012 Kia Rio hatchback offers a very accessible and cheap price, making it a good small car for the city.
I RVINE, California - Kia announced that the completely redesigned Rio five-door hatchback will have a cheap starting price of $13,600, while the Rio A/T will start at $14,700, prices much more affordable than previous generation. Meanwhile, the SX version which is the full equipped, will have a starting price of $18,000, which isn't as cheap as the basic version but it includes a wide selection of features such as 17-inch alloy wheels, LED lights, sport suspension, dual exhaust pipes in chrome, fog lamps and UVO infotainment system that works with a 4.3 inch touch screen. It also includes a rearview camera.

With emphasis on being environmentally friendly, the Rio comes with many technologies and is the first with ISG technology used in the hybrid segment of luxury cars that helps to improve performance by turning off the engine when the car is not in motion, for example in the red light and turns on again when the driver takes the foot off the brake (this feature is expected to arrive in early 2012). To emphasize the manufacturer's commitment with the environment, 85% of the car materials are recyclable.
The new cheap Rio was presented earlier this year during the New York Auto Show and immediately caught the attention of consumers due to its improved design both outside and inside, in addition to the increased power and performance.
This small Kia is powered by a GDI 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with manual transmission or six-speed automatic that give it a total of 138 horsepower and a performance of 30 to 40 miles per gallon. Will be available in three versions: LX, EX and SX, all of them with a new exterior design that includes the new grille of the entire line of Kia products and lines that make it looks more youthful.
It comes equipped with air conditioning, power steering, sound system with auxiliary input, AM/FM/MP3 and USB port, satellite radio SiriusXM with three months service and security features such as stability control, ABS brakes, hHill-start assist control vehicle stability management. Regard to equipment the range is divided into four trim levels: Basic, Concept, and Emotion Drive that can be combined with six body colors and two-tone upholstery.
