J. D. Power revealed recently the winning brands.
FThe renowned firm J. D. Power published last month its "2014 Vehicle Dependability Study," which reveals the brands and models of the most reliable cars in the United States.
The survey, in its 25th anniversary, examines the issues experienced during the past 12 months by owners of vehicles manufactured in 2011. On average, the reliability is determined by the number of failures that occurred for every 100 units, which in this case, a lower score would mean higher quality.
With the foregoing, J. D. Power found that, among the owners had fewer problems with their vehicles, the brand loyalty was even greater, and of course, only with a certain type of vehicle.
This 2014, the brand that continues for the third consecutive year as the most reliable, is Lexus, with a rating of 68 problems per 100 cars, followed by Mercedes-Benz with a score of 104 and Cadillac, in third place, with 107.
The reliability study is widely used by manufacturers and suppliers around the world to help them design and build better vehicles, which traditionally results in a high resale value and customer loyalty.
It also helps consumers to make wise decisions when buying a new or used car, being better informed.
The 2014 Vehicle Dependability Study is based on responses from more than 41,000 owners of vehicles year 2011, after three years of ownership. The survey was implemented between October and December 2013, and these were the results:
