Parents Magazine and Edmunds.com published their "Top 10 Best Family Cars" for 2013 after reviewing hundreds of vehicles and choose those who dominate in their segments by qualities such as: utility, safety, efficiency and price-value ratio.
This is the 6th edition of the prizes jointly awarded by both organizations. Full results appeared in the edition of Parents Magazine which went on sale last June 11.
"Now that the summer holidays are coming and the trips that it implies, we are thrilled to present this list so complete", said Managing Editor of Parents Magazine, Dana Points. Given the time that U.S. families spend in their cars, we think it is important to highlight the safer vehicles, most accessible and those which offer more to families.
For 2013, the panel of judges focused on safety, so every car included in the list has at least six air bags and electronic safety system control.
The judges also considered factors such as efficiency in fuel consumption, and the implementation of new infotainment technologies and exterior design that attracts young parents.
"As a parent who loves to drive, I understand all the factors that parents take into account when making a purchase or lease of a new car", said Scott Oldham, Editor in Chief of Edmunds.com. This list shows that this year there are cars to suit every taste and to enjoy a family trip.
